Teaching About Race and Racism in America

Racism is a recurring theme throughout American history, and police brutality, racially motivated violence, and white supremacy have been a focal point for inequality and injustice since before the American Revolution. As educators, healthcare workers, public employees, and more, community issues are our issues. Racial justice is a community issue, and therefore, AFT is using platforms to lift up stories and resources and to call out racist policing and the justice crisis gripping America.
