I teach 11th grade English to a small, rural, Title I school. My favorite book to teach is The Things They Carried. We are a very patriotic community with several former students who are serving in the military. My students feel like that can connect to these Vietnam solders, in Tim O'Brien's work.

I am a half-time teacher/half-time school librarian in rural Kentucky. When in the classroom, I teach 3rd grade ELA. My favorite book to teach is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. With a timeless theme of good triumphing over evil, this book is always relatable and holds students' interest from beginning to end. The storyline promotes rich classroom discussions. It is a great source for teaching character development as well. Love it!
