Share My Lesson is working with Reconnecting McDowell to provide lesson plans, classroom resources and professional development for new teachers, long-term substitutes, paraprofessionals and school-related personnel, as well as student guardians and caregivers to help McDowell County make meaningful educational improvements.

In the rural West Virginia county of McDowell County, almost half of all children live apart from their parents. Special correspondent John Tulenko of Learning Matters visits to see how public schools are supporting these caretakers to improve kids’ lives.
