The ADL was founded in 1913 "to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all." As a leading provider of anti-bias education, the ADL's A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute provides customizable, interactive training programs and curriculum materials that incorporate the latest research from the education field. We offer a variety of training programs for pre-K through 12th grade school communities - educators, administrators, youth and families - which focus on the development of an inclusive culture and respectful school climate by addressing issues of bias and bullying. Our programs and resources help students (1) recognize bias and the harm it inflicts on individuals and society, (2) build understanding of the value and benefits of diversity, (3) improve intergroup relations and (4) confront racism, anti-Semitism and all other forms of bigotry.

ADL is giving away sample lessons from our popular Anti-Bias Curriculum Guides for Grades K-12.  These lessons are designed to help students explore societal issues arising from bias, bigotry and discrimination and empower them to promote justice and equity.

Included in this free download are the following four sample lesson plans and accompanying student handouts:

  • One, Some, Many, All—Standing Up to Prejudice  (Grades K-2)
  • Roles We Play in Bullying and Bias (Grades 3-5)
