Understood’s mission is to help the 1 in 5 with learning and attention issues be successful in life. As a leading digital resource and nonprofit organization, Understood empowers millions of parents and educators through personalized resources, access to experts, interactive tools, and a supportive online community.

Based on feedback and demand from educators, Understood will be developing and adding new resources specifically for educators throughout 2019. We will provide general K–5 educators and resource teams with grab-and-go resources, videos of teaching strategies, empathy-building experiences, and deeper learning opportunities—designed to empower educators in their goal to serve all learners, including those with learning and attention issues.
