About This Webinar

Join Dr. Elizabeth R. Osborn, Project Director, Indiana University Center on Representative Government and Share My Lesson for a webinar on how to promote good citizenship.

Teaching our students to be good citizens is not solely the responsibility of high school government teachers. Educators at every level should model, discuss and encourage citizenship in their classrooms. This webinar will prepare teachers to discuss and promote common aspects of citizenship with their students, regardless of grade level. We will discuss definitions of citizenship and naturalization and distinguish them from immigration. Participants will learn where to find free primary source materials for teaching about citizenship and will leave the session with some hand on classroom activities for teaching on this topic.
