About This Lesson

These help students work through writing an explanatory essay analyzing how Dickens shows Pip’s fear and creates an atmosphere of tension in the opening chapters of Great Expectations.May also be used for 11th and 12th graders. Aligned to Common Core State Standard: RL.9-10.1, RL.9-10.2, RL.9-10.3, RL.9-10.7
