FOCAL POINT – The center of interest and activity in a work of art that pulls in the viewer’s eye. There are 4 types of focal point: convergence, isolation, contrast, location

HENRI MATISSE – 1869 to 1954 – French painter famous for his bold use of color and shape. His style of artwork changed throughout his career, but he was considered the leader of the Fauve movement. His famous cut-out creations were created during the last 10 years of his career after his diagnosis of cancer and being confined to a wheelchair.
