About This Webinar

Join Sarah Lerner and Share My Lesson on a webinar on lessons learned after the Parkland Tragedy and on gun reform.

Hear from Sarah Lerner, a veteran teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. She advises the nationally-ranked and award-winning yearbook, Aerie, and also teaches English and Intro to Journalism. Learn about her transition to life after keeping her students safe and surviving the Parkland school shooting. Now she advocates for gun reform, fights for educators and uses her voice to bring about change.

Sarah is the author of Stoneman Speaks: Survivors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas Share their Stories. She is also the co-author of a new lesson featured in the Share My Lesson School Safety: Preventing Gun Violence Collection called School Safety in the United States: One Year After Parkland.

Professional Credit

Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.

Share My Lesson is now a New York State Education Department-approved provider for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements and an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approved Professional Development provider.
