In this lesson, students reflect on their plastic consumption and write a letter to a grocery store, urging them to reduce plastic packaging.

Step 1 - Inquire: Students analyze their class's plastic waste statistics and watch and discuss the video 30 Days Without Single-Use Plastics.

Step 2 - Investigate: Students reflect on their grocery shopping to discover how much plastic they buy at the grocery store.

Step 3 - Inspire: Students draft, revise, finalize, and send a letter to a grocery store, urging them to reduce plastic packaging.
