Biography
Vicodin is a prescription medication composed of hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Hydrocodone, an opioid, relieves pain by changing the brain's response to pain signals, while acetaminophen, a non-opioid analgesic, enhances hydrocodone's pain-relieving effects and reduces fever. It is prescribed for moderate to severe pain, typically after surgeries or injuries. Due to the potential for addiction and dependency, Vicodin is generally used for short durations under strict medical supervision.
