2026 virtual conference

Interested in presenting at the 2026 Share My Lesson Virtual Conference? Proposals are due Jan. 14, 2026.

If your organization is interested in participating in the 2026 Share My Lesson Virtual Conference, taking place March 24–26, please submit a proposal via the online presentation form by January 14, 2026.

Share My Lesson invites partners, contributors and education organizations nationwide to submit proposals for this premier professional learning event. This year’s conference will feature three themed days with a streamlined schedule of 30 total sessions (10 per day) to create a highly focused, engaging experience for participants. Because we are reducing the number of sessions, selection will be more competitive than in previous years.

We encourage you to submit your most interactive, educator-centered proposals aligned with this year’s themes. You may also consider co-presenting with another education organization.

Daily sessions for 2026 will run from 1 p.m. EST to 6 p.m. EST, followed by a keynote each day.

All webinars are available for free and are eligible for credit for attendees. And all will be available on demand after the event with closed-captioning in English and Spanish.

Request for Proposals - Due January 14

We are looking for sessions of broad interest to educators, covering themes such as:

  • Teaching in a Digital World: Technology, AI, digital literacy and innovation in the classroom
  • The Whole Educator, The Whole Student: Wellness, SEL, and mental health for school communities
  • The Power of Core Subjects: Fresh approaches to math, science, civics, literacy, and the arts

We encourage you to submit topics that spotlight your expertise and offer free classroom-ready resources, high-quality content knowledge, or innovative practices educators can use immediately.

If selected, you will receive registration information for participants who attend your specific session. We hope this provides valuable marketing leads for your organization. As part of the selection criteria, we will also consider your proposed joint promotion plan between Share My Lesson’s network of more than two million members and your own community.

Selected presenters will be notified by January 30, 2026. In final decisions, we will balance subject area, topical diversity, and promotional reach. Presentations may be given remotely from an office or home.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time do I have?

Each Virtual Conference session is 55 minutes with a hard stop at 60 minutes. A typical session outline includes:

  • 3-minute introduction from AFT staff
  • 35–45 minute presentation (with engagement moments)
  • 5–12 minutes of Q&A
  • 2-minute conclusion

You may adjust this flow as long as the overall session stays within the allotted time.

How can I make my webinar engaging and interactive?

We encourage active participation through chat prompts, polls and Q&A. Please build in natural pauses or activities that encourage attendees to interact, rather than relying on a full lecture format.

  • Chat questions:
Add open-response questions directly into your slide deck so attendees can engage in real time.
  • Video files:
Videos cannot be embedded in PowerPoint. Please submit all video files separately via Dropbox, Google Drive, or provide a YouTube link.
  • Links and handouts:
Attendees will receive a clean copy of your slides. If you’d like to include additional resources, please provide links or attachments. For more than six pieces, please share a Google Drive folder.

I haven’t used the ON24 platform in a long time. Will there be training?

Yes. All accepted presenters are required to complete ON24 training to become familiar with the platform and its latest features.

This year’s training will be provided as a pre-recorded video for convenience. All presenters must watch the training by Monday, March 16, or you may risk losing your session slot. Additional live training is available upon request.
