The term “SISP” was introduced in 2015 in the Every Student Succeeds Act and replaced the term “pupil services personnel” that was used in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. SISP professionals include behavioral analysts, occupational/physical therapists, school counselors, school nurses, school psychologists, school social workers, speech-language pathologists, art therapists, dance/movement therapists, music therapists and other school-based healthcare providers.
