In March, celebrate National Reading Month with book guides and read alouds, and be sure to also find engaging resources in our collection of lesson plans and resources on diverse books.

Also, did you know that November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)? Beginning in 1999, National Novel Writing Month, started with the challenge to write 50,000 words of a draft of a novel in the month of November. The challenge now continues every year in November, but NaNoWriMo has also become a time to encourage students to share their stories and develop their writing skills. Use these writing activities with your students in the classroom, and instill in them a love of writing.
