Starter or wrap up activity. Teacher reads the statements and students hold up different colored cards to answer covalent or ionic.
Really useful thanks. Only points to note is that hydrogen is a covalently bonded element, and strong forces exist between individual atoms in both ionic and covalent substances (although technically ions in ionic compunds).
