About This Lesson
Jesus was born in a simple manger in a bare stable in Bethlehem. Maybe Mary and Joseph knew that it just would have been wrong to surround God's son with the conspicuous consumption that defines many peoples lives today. Perhaps every now and again we can enjoy the glory of an old thing rather than a new thing, and do the planet a favor too. Aligned to Common Core State Standard: W.6.2
