About This Lesson

This poem is narrated by a child who is lonely and who dreads the whole playtime experience. For them it definitely isn't time to play. The poem can be used as a stimulus for class discussion on how to address the issues of loneliness and how to make friends at playtime. It is written by Roger Hurn; author of Something Wicked This Way Comes (Amazon Kindle) etc.

Thank you, this will be very useful as we are encouraging a playground buddies system. It will give us a good stimulus for beginning a discussion. Thankyou for sharing,
