About This Lesson

This is a handout that I produced looking at protective clothing. Prior to this lesson students have learnt about convection; conduction and radiation.During this lesson students thought about how animals have adapted to survive in extremes of hot and cold e.g elephants flapping their ears to radiate hear or seals having a layer of blubber for insulations; students were then asked to draw one of the animals and explain how it was adapted. These activities were to give a real world focus on the subject matter they had been taught.
