Look at the first / chosen image on the PowerPoint and use some 'W' questions to create interest / detail e.g.. What ? Why? Who? When? Where?Shuffle the sentence starter cards and choose one. Children then have a set amount of time to write a sentence about the image using the chosen sentence starter. Extension - all sentences must be complex; must use a semi colon etc
