About This Lesson

I wanted my 11th grade U.S. History students to see this powerful film, but I recognized that I would need to be up front with parents/guardians about the subject matter. I felt that this handout made an effective case as to why it's worth it to have students go see the film, while still ultimately leaving it up to parents/guardians.

This movie is no longer in theaters, but this could be used as an extra credit for students to watch it at home. Maybe instead of keeping the ticket stub they can have their guardian sign that they have watched it.
