About This Lesson
The activity described here is a hands-on simulation that shows, in a basic way, the mechanism by which there is antibacterial resistance through the process of natural selection. It is similar to the example of the peppered moth, often included in textbooks, but uses an organism that is more commonly known by students and part of their everyday life.
