About This Lesson

Determine a project(s) to sell at the Spring festival or a service to provide at the Spring festival.  All project(s) and/or services must be relevant to the student and parent population.

Standards

Understand that statistics can be used to gain information about a population by examining a sample of the population; generalizations about a population from a sample are valid only if the sample is representative of that population. Understand that random sampling tends to produce representative samples and support valid inferences.
Reporting the number of observations.
Write expressions that record operations with numbers and with letters standing for numbers.
Review the key ideas expressed and demonstrate understanding of multiple perspectives through reflection and paraphrasing.
Pose and respond to specific questions with elaboration and detail by making comments that contribute to the topic, text, or issue under discussion.
