What Remote Learning / Distance Learning tools do you recommend?

We're putting together a list to share this week. We will feature some of our great SML partners and other material that's helpful. There are a lot of lists out there - what tools do you recommend?

World101.cfr.org from the Council on Foreign Relations provides a growing library of multimedia content that explains global issues to students in ways that are accessible and entertaining. All content is free, no registration required and also includes teaching resources ( glossary, essay questions) that educators can download. Great for high school social studies teachers.

With the recent transition to distance learning, I know teachers have enough to worry about - from scrambling to make new plans to mastering unfamiliar ways to communicate with their students. I'm very excited to be a part of this group in particular and hopefully share some of the ways TeachRock's interdisciplinary, K-12 education materials can lighten that load for teachers, students and parents alike... not to mention make things a bit more fun during this uncertain time! Check out how you can use popular music to teach a variety of subjects at TeachRock.org

Bites Media! bitesmedia.com/categories New student news website that is easy for kids to read and understand. I tell my kids to read one article a day, and that we will talk about it over dinner. Many of the articles start with a question, and we'll then answer it together. Super easy, and easy to remember (there's so many resources out there, this one is great and engaging!)

I would like to recommend boomwriter.com . BoomWriter offers a variety of tools, features, and resources that lets teachers conduct fiction, nonfiction, and vocabulary-focused writing assignments inspiring students to write on any subject. I also integrates easily with existing curriculum.

Hi there!

I've come across a great resource that I believe can be extremely beneficial for remote learning:
https://www.twinkl.com/resources/usa-resources?&utm_campaign=BeeTwo
This site offers a wide range of materials specifically designed to support learning at home.

From worksheets to lesson plans, they provide a wealth of resources for various grade levels and subjects. I've personally found it to be a valuable tool for engaging my students and enhancing their remote learning experience.
