About This Lesson
This lesson plan consists of 10 55-70 min lesson designed to examine the play “A Raisin in the Sun”, by Lorraine Hansberry. This unit plan is aligned with California State Educational standards and includes all required material for immediate implementation. Students will be required to complete a literary analysis essay on the assigned prompt, while utilizing the character example provided within the play. This lesson highlights the creative writing process and will challenge students to learn the proper writing techniques to complete this assignment.
