Practice of Gratitude and Grit decreases Predisposition to Suicide.
I always start my class with a circle of gratitude. This sets the day and environment up to be a more positive and healthy place to learn. Over time, I have watched students improve their sophistication and authenticity with giving thanks. It provides a space for students and instructors to model and learn from each other without judgement.
