About This Lesson

Help your students identify if a function is discrete or continuous by analyzing the range - whether it is discrete (countable and data is collected as a snapshot) or continuous (measurable and data is collected continuously). Then, identify the domain and range values or sets. Then, if it's a discrete function, then just plot the points without joining them. If it's a continuous function, then plot the points and join them.
