About This Lesson

Learning Mandarin through action-based learning and interaction, together with well-known themes, tales, and events.  The 12 lesson units that make up the Early Mandarin Curriculum include worksheets from Ms. Liu Classful and a variety of materials from Ms. Liu's Mandarin class. The topics cover everything from fun and introducing a friend to greetings, calendar concepts, and time management.

The curriculum supports children's natural language development through creative, high-energy engagement strategies.

Storytelling & Folklore: Uses classic traditional tales to build reading comprehension.

Music & Movement: Incorporates singing and rhythmic activities to make memory retention fun and active.

Role-Playing & Drama: Encourages students to act out scenarios to build practical oral speaking confidence.

Cultural Integration: Lessons naturally connect language acquisition with major Chinese holidays and traditions.

Students are encouraged to take an active role in their education by practicing greetings and brief conversations in groups. Additionally, they will take part in group activities that promote creativity and cooperation, such play performances.
