About This Lesson
Someone in the United States has a stroke every 40 seconds, yet many don't recognize the warning signs. Children are often present when stroke emergencies happen. With the right knowledge, kids can become lifesaving first responders. Mission: BE FAST teaches kids how to identify strokes and act quickly when every minute matters.
Mission: BE FAST started in Shoreline, Washington as a Girl Scouts Gold Award project. Our goal is to make stroke education accessible to all classrooms.
