About This Lesson

Our 9/11 Day lesson plans provide teachers with the tools they need to encourage students to participate in the 9/11 National Day of Service by performing their own good deed(s) or act(s) of service. Lessons can and should be used by before/after school program leaders, homeschool parents, and any others who work with young people.

Lessons culminate with the ‘#IWillFor911Day’ Good Deed Pledge activity, which – for those with limited classroom time – can also be run independently. See the simple instructions and our ‘I Will’ pledge card!

Find the whole suite of free lesson plans, classroom activities and other educator tools referenced in the guide at 911day.org/teachers.
