Decodable reading books

Short reading books with decodable words and a few common irregular words. Make the books by trimming around the border and mount onto colored paper. Trim again; leaving a margin. Fold top third of the page covering the pictures. Assemble pages by stapling

As a reading recovery teacher these are great and can be added to or altered as needed. Thank you for such a fab resource and being gracious enough to upload and share. You should definitely become a reading recovery teacher.....!

Good idea - just made my own to use following your template as well for my els group using our puppet! Great as their are so few guided reading books in school for the lower abilities. Thanks.1
