Quote by Arlinda Davis,
“I have dedicated my entire teaching life to wanting to help children inherit society. I believe as a teacher, it is important to teach the whole child in order to help them be successful. In order to do that we must find ways to reach them, and understand any barriers that may keep them from becoming productive and successful citizens. I have been not only working with students but teachers who don’t understand how to deal with types of trauma students face in and out of school. Using STEM children develop critical thinking skills, problem solving techniques and learn to collaborate. This creates skills for their future“
Her work with NASA has opened opportunities for urban students to see themselves as scientists. Pairing with UAB School of Education and The Lincoln Center in NY for 3 years allowed me to bring Aesthetic Education to students in an urban setting helping them to make connections wit arts in education
