Join Lisa Mitchell and Lisa Vazquez of the Disney Theatrical Group (The Walt Disney Company) and Share My Lesson on how to inspire our students using art and theatre-making methods.
With the impact of the pandemic on schools, Disney is committed to innovating new ways for students to remain engaged and inspired. During this session, we will share free resources from our artists, writers, musicians, and Imagineers that can be leveraged in either a physical or a virtual classroom.
Specifically, we will present The Lion King Experience, an immersive arts education program that introduces students to many aspects of theater-making through the lens of The Lion King, and Pixar in a Box, animation lessons utilizing math, science, computer science, and humanities demonstrated through case studies of challenges presented and solved on various Pixar films.
We will also offer a sneak peek of a new behind-the-scenes virtual event for teachers and students. These resources are free and accessible online. By providing this opportunity as part of Disney’s commitment to the next generation of storytellers and innovators, we hope to inspire youth to create the futures they imagine.
