Let it Ripple is an Emmy nominated film studio in San Francisco that makes short, engaging films around social and emotional learning. Their 8 minute film, The Science of Character, is their flagship film which explores the neuroscience and social science behind character development, and how we can shape who we are and who we want to be. They also offer The Making of a Mensch (8 min), and The Adaptable Mind (10min). These films and the free resources that come along with them are available year round and can be used in classrooms and at home. They are appropriate for all age levels.
Last year Let it Ripple Film Studio had over 93,000 film screenings in 125 countries all talking about how we can develop our character strengths (such as empathy, grit, kindness, etc) through watching short films, diving into free discussion materials, and unifying all events through a global Q&A with experts in the field of social and emotional learning. This year Character Day is set for September 13th! Come learn more about this global movement that is free for all thanks to generous grants and donations.
