Schools are no strangers to urgent decision-making. As the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us, school system leaders cannot always know what is around the corner, but what we do know is that the voices of our essential stakeholders must be heard and even influence decision-making, especially during a crisis. The American Federation of Teachers and the National Parent Teacher Association believe that, together, our essential stakeholder voices must be heard. To assist our members in that process, we have jointly developed and tested a stakeholder process and guide that can lift up parent and educator voices in the decision-making process. Thanks to the support of the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the AFT and PTA will share member experiences and this new resource in a one-hour webinar. The session is designed for member affiliates, school-site and district administrators, and community groups.
Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.
On Demand version is available in closed captioning in English and Spanish.
