We’ll explore how to collaborate with a social studies/history teacher at your school or how to do it independently without a lot of preparation. First, participants will be introduced to iCivics and the free games and educational materials they provide. Then, after being introduced to the popular iCivics games, Win The White House and Cast Your Vote, participants will see how the game can serve as a launchpad for class discussions and/or writing activities. Participants will brainstorm different ways they could use the game and the different types of writing activities they could assign.
Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.
On Demand version is available in closed captioning in English and Spanish.
