About This Webinar

Join the American Federation of Teachers for an important webinar on becoming an advocate for student health funding.

A panel of speakers will offer concrete and practical suggestions on how to persuade and inform policymakers about Medicaid in schools at the local, state and federal levels. Panelists will discuss wins and lessons learned from last year’s fight with Congress to protect Medicaid at the federal level; inclusive state policy coalitions have nurtured sustainable changes to promote student health; lessons from a deep investigation of district spending on student health; and how advocacy intersects with day-to-day school nursing.

Professional Credit

Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.

Share My Lesson is now a New York State Education Department-approved provider for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements and an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approved Professional Development provider.
