This presentation on The Social Dilemma, a new Netflix documentary, will discuss the ways in which technology companies use our psychology against us, and how this race for human attention impacts everything from individual mental health to the spread of misinformation. We will discuss how young people who use and build technology differently are ushering in a new era of humane technology and being mindful of the ethics of consumer tech.

Relevant, lots of resources,
Relevant, provided lots of resources & data, provided an understanding that there is a great need for advocacy for systemic change, not just personal behavioural change.

Thoughtful, powerful conversation on what I think is the tip of the iceberg for our students and ourselves with the use and impact of social platforms. "Our will power is pitted against the most powerful tool created in the world..." I have changed my view on this concept after watching the documentary and now attending this session. Thank you!
