This 2024 Share My Lesson Virtual Conference session will inspire you to create more opportunities for students to write imaginatively in the genres they read. We will try out a high leverage technique for integrating fiction writing into novel study (or other literature) and demonstrate how this leads to stronger critical reading, benefits students' social emotional development, and builds empathy and community among diverse students.
