What I love most about Share My Lesson’s Virtual Conference is that whether you are a teacher, a principal, a school staff member, an education organization professional, or even a parent, there is something here for you. For example, you can benefit from Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility’s session Self-Care and Communal Care for Ourselves and Our Students, or Lori Woodley-Langendorff’s of All It Takes session I Matter—You Matter: Flex Your Adult SEL Muscles and Everyone Wins! Last May, I was able to attend one of her sessions on the five adult social emotional learning muscles, and I left the session with a wealth of new knowledge and with my cup feeling full. We talk so much about supporting our students’ or children's social and emotional well-being that we don’t always remember to turn inward and focus on our own. But as Woodley-Langendorff teaches us, when we take the time to also focus on flexing our own “adult SEL muscles,” the benefits are far-reaching. Check out a sneak peek of what’s to come in this session in the reel below.

This isn’t the only engaging session in store for you. I’m sure you have been on a webinar where you kept looking at the clock wishing it would end, but when you complete one of SML’s virtual conference sessions, you’ll wonder how the session could be over already. That’s the great thing about this conference: We have been doing virtual conferences long before the COVID-19 pandemic, so we have the science of creating engaging, fun and knowledgeable sessions down pat.

And the Share My Lesson team wants you to be ready to dive into the conference, so here is some info to help you get geared up and ready to go.

Choose Your Sessions

With so many sessions being offered, it can be difficult to narrow down your choices. Although you will have to decide which webinars you want to attend live, all sessions will be accessible after they initially air—so you can watch any session on demand later. Get started in choosing your sessions by logging into Share My Lesson, and join the community where, under the “Resources” tab, you will find the sessions organized by the day they are presented and by topics: diversity, equity and inclusion; STEM; ELA and civic education; and SEL and mental health. This makes it easy to find the webinars you are interested in.

Note: All of the sessions will be available on demand with closed captioning in English and Spanish after the live broadcast; and if you have already registered, we will email the on-demand link to you.
