About This Lesson
This two-week unit consists of 10 lessons building upon one another. The first day, students learn how to read their heart rate manually. Next, students learn about the different heart rate zones such as target and maximum heart rate while completing interval circuits. After Students dive into different types of fitness cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility using different circuits as examples. Concluding with the benefits of fitness in one's life.
