PARTNER PROFILE

School Wellness Council chairs, Meghan Myers and Tammi Hanak coordinate Snack Scene at 3:15, Bower Hill Elementary School’s signature nutrition education program. Watching the weekly episode on “Bee TV,” students from kindergarten to grade 3 learn how to make “no cook, no knives” snacks from wholesome ingredients. They also learn how good nutrition is linked to strong bodies, sound minds, and a healthy future. Beyond kids’ enthusiasm, Snack Scene is also championed by parents, classroom teachers, support professionals, district administrators and even the local cable access channel.
