About This Lesson

Part two of the Farne Islands story. Every year the islands welcome approximately 2,000 Arctic Terns. By the time they leave in mid/late August most pairs have successfully reared 1 or 2 chicks. Sometimes the protective parent terns guarding their cute fluffy chicks make life a bit challenging for visitors and the National Trust rangers who live alongside them!
