About This Lesson

This short game is ideal for any grade level K-12. It is a game-like scenario in which one student takes control of the class. The other students must ask Yes or No questions about the a scene from a book that all have read. It is compelling because kids will work very hard to remember detail of the story - for example if the teacher has just read chapter 1 James and the Giant Peach aloud, this provides the material to begin the game. Students have fun while showing their comprehension of the material. Aligned with Common Core State Standard: SL.4.1
