In this hands-on activity, students will act as a living model atom! They will pick different color cards that represent whether they are a proton, electron, or neutron, then move around the room to re-enact how an atom moves. This should be a fun, enjoyable activity which the students can learn a lot from!
At the end of this exercise, students should be able to understand how the inside of an atom works and what is the difference between a regular atom and an ion.
