A handout to help students focus on the analysis of quotations and the appropriate detail required. Teachers can add their own quotes for that they want students to analyze. Students are provided with three 'themed' quotations from different poems and asked to consider: the poet's feelings; a linguistic or structural feature; a single word to analyze in detail and their own feelings linked to the poet's purpose.'Blank' copies are included so that the quotations can be written in by the students.
