About This Lesson

Half the class were arguing for or against reading and doing sport; half the class were arguing for or against school uniform. The ppt differentiates between fact; opinion and example and shows how each can bak up an opinion. I used this at the start of my lesson. There is also a sorting activity where the children were given sentences (cut up). They had to sort them into for or against. Then the children discussed what they thought; and used the writing frame to write up their argument.
