About This Lesson
A video from Volvo Trucks.
In 2010, Volvo Trucks will be the first truck manufacturer to start conducting comprehensive field tests involving Bio-DME. This is a biofuel that generates very low carbon dioxide emissions. In the long term it has the potential to replace 50 percent of todays diesel use for transport operations in Europe.
Great example of a much more environmentally friendly way of fuelling large trucks, and the amount of cooperation between different agencies that is needed to try to make this project sucessful. It is also interesting to find out that this biofuel is made from a byproduct of paper production, so is using a possible pollutant, so even more environmentally friendly!
