About This Lesson

The aim of this lesson is for students to explore the question: How can we take action with local government?

Content Objectives:

  • Identify local issues
  • Demonstrate how to write a business letter
  • Define terms
  • Think about how they can take action at a local level

After completion of the lesson, students will be able to:

  1. improve their knowledge of the types of government
  2. identify issues important to them
  3. engage in a small/whole group discussions
  4. work on fluency and speed/stamina
