Focus: Students compare and contrast key features of the early civilizations of the Maya, Aztec, and Inca, and explore the development of cities such as Tenochtitlan and Machu Picchu. They are also introduced to the work of archeologists who unearth ancient civilizations.

Number of Lessons: 11

Lesson Time: 60 minutes each. Each lesson may be divided into shorter segments.
