Classification of The Giant Panda

Trough the years the giant panda has been classified in a number of different families. Finally after much debate, DNA evidence has determined that the giant panda should be classified with the bears. Students will write an invitation officially welcoming the giant pandas to the bear family. Students need to provide explain why the bears have been classified in different families and what the DNA told scientists about the relationship between bears and giant pandas.
